You can Listen to the River
Partnerships form the core of the Listening to the River (LTTR) project. An LTTR program in your community will flow out of willingness on the part of organization leaders to assign staff and solicit volunteers for project activities. The benefits of this commitment of time, energy and enthusiasm can be huge - and long lasting!
The project's focus on watersheds and geography of place can serve as an integrator for seemingly diverse groups. One group might offer science content support, while another contributes expertise in technology and a third shares its knowledge of how to plan youth programs.
Successful adoption of the LTTR model in your community will require partners with capacities in technology, broadcast media, water resource management, science education and cross-organizational program planning.
Whatever your program focus will be, just get going! Bring your potential partners to the table and plan your first event.
