The Listening To The River experience at The Great Lakes Children’s Museum is being designed by Matthew Martin Design Works, a California-based developer of immersive exhibits and themed attractions. Initiated with a blue-sky process in November, 2006, the exhibit's concept says it "will be an immersive, hands on, funfair of the senses and a technology filled, all ages, educational field trip through the Traverse Bay Watershed using information by kids for kids. It is a place where young children, older kids and parents alike will learn how their watershed and their community are connected. It’s totally cool, totally watershed, totally fun!"
